V&A Waterfront, Robben Island and Cape Town City Highlights
Meet your tour guide and walk around the waterfront from the Two Oceans Aquarium to the Big Wheel, continuing all the way to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to embark on the Robben Island tour.
Take a ferry ride to Robben Island, which lasts approximately 3.5 hours. Once there, enjoy a short walk to the buses that will transport you to the historical sites around the island. On the way to the buses, you will pass buildings and a high wall built by prisoners during the 1960s.
Afterward, return to the city centre to explore the best of Cape Town and experience the rich history and heritage the city has to offer.
Discover the quaint and vibrant streets of the Mother City. Starting from Darling Street to the Castle of Good Hope, you will learn about how the city came about.
The tour continues to Buitenkant and Roeland Street, where you will see some of the original buildings, including the old granary, Parliament, and the President's office, which is not open to the public. Then continue to Church Square, the Slave Lodge, and enjoy a much-needed stroll in the Company's Gardens.
Proceed to the Planetarium, then walk past the shortest mountain pass, Grey's Pass. Take a walk down Long Street through to Greenmarket Square and St. George's Mall, and enjoy beautiful views of the majestic Table Mountain to complete the tour.
