The itinerary

Day 01

Accra to Kakum Rainforest, Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle

• Get picked up from your hotel or residence in Accra at 6 am by your Cape Coast tour guide and head first to Kakum Rainforest. The journey from Accra to Kakum takes approximately 3 and a half hours. (1 hour)

• From the rainforest, head to Cape Coast Castle. (1 hour)

• Have lunch at a beach resort near the castle; one hour will be allocated for this.

• Proceed to Elmina Castle. This oldest European building south of the Sahara was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea. (1 hour)

• From Elmina Castle, head back to Accra. Departure from Cape Coast back to Accra will be at 5 pm.

• This tour is designed as a day trip to Cape Coast. If you have time to sleep over in Cape Coast to experience life in the Central Region, that will be a wonderful experience. The price will remain the same, except for an additional $120 per person for accommodation in Cape Coast.

• The accommodation includes bed and breakfast, an air-conditioned room with hot showers, and a balcony with a view of the ocean as you continue to reflect on your experience at the castles.
