Day 01

Vienna to Admont Abbey, Hallstatt and Lake Traunsee

• 8:00 am - Departure from Vienna.
• 9:30 am - 10:00 am - Coffee break at Landzeit Schottwein on the highway.
• 11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Visit Admont Abbey, renowned for its baroque architecture and Austria's largest monastic library.
• 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm - Explore Hallstatt, a picturesque village on Lake Hallstatt with stunning mountain views and a rich history.
• 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm - Stop at Castle Orth in Gmunden or Traunkirchen, depending on traffic, for scenic views of Lake Traunsee.
• 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm - Coffee break at Landzeit Voralpenkreuz restaurant.
• 9:00 pm - Return to Vienna, concluding the tour.

What's Included

• Hotel pickup from Vienna central hotels (postcodes 1010 to 1090) if the hotel name is stated no later than 24 hours prior to tour departure. No pickup from apartments.
• Admission fee to Admont Abbey.
• Walking tour with a guide in Hallstatt.
• Transport by air-conditioned coach or van with a professional driver-guide.
• Guided tour during the whole trip with many photo breaks to enjoy fantastic views.

• Gratuities (optional).
• Food and drinks.
• Entrance fees.
• Hotel drop-off. The tour ends at the Vienna State Opera, Albertinaplatz.
• No WiFi on the bus.

Know before you go

• The tour takes place every Thursday and Saturday from 1 April to 31 October.
• The tour is not recommended for infants.
• It may be operated by a multilingual guide in English and Russian.
• Depending on the group size, this tour will be conducted by minivan with a driver-guide or by bus with a licensed guide.
• Please note that you will cover approximately 650 km by motorway and Alpine roads on this day. It is approximately an 8-hour drive with short breaks. You will spend approximately 40 minutes in Admont Abbey, a maximum of 2.5 hours in Hallstatt, and 30 minutes in Gmunden.
• Hotel pick-up is offered for this tour. Please note: we cannot guarantee hotel pick-up if you book within 24 hours of the tour/activity departure time.
