Day 01

Samarkand's Historic Monuments and Sacred Sites

Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location to begin your tour.
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour in Samarkand with your Uzbekistan tour guide:
- Registan Square (15th-17th centuries) consists of the grandiose madrasahs of Ulugbek, Sher Dor, and Tillya Kari.
- Bibi Khanum Mosque (14th century), built in five years by Timur.
- Siab Bazaar - one of the oldest markets in Central Asia.
- Shahi-Zinda Mausoleum (14th-15th centuries) - a complex of more than 20 unique buildings.
- Guri Amir Mausoleum (15th century), the Timurid dynastic burial vault.
- Ulugbek Observatory - the first observatory in the Orient, with a 30 m sextant built by Ulugbek to create an exact astronomical catalogue of stars.
- Mausoleum of St. Daniel - believed to be the mausoleum of the prophet Daniel and worshipped by Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities.
- Museum Afrasiyab - a museum of ancient Samarkand, which existed from the 8th century B.C. until the 13th century.

Urgut Market, Chorchinor, and Traditional Crafts

Go shopping at the biggest market in Uzbekistan.
Visit the Chorchinor complex and see a garden with thousand-year-old platans, one of which was used as a classroom of the madrasah.
Proceed to the workshop of the famous Urgut potter.
Continue to the silk paper factory "Konigil Meros".
