4-Day Murchison Falls Safari with Budongo Chimp Tracking

After breakfast, meet your Ugandan guide and transfer to Masindi.

Stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can enjoy an optional walking safari to see the Southern White Rhinos that have been reintroduced in Uganda (optional US$45 per person).

Later, proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison covers 3,840 sq km and is home to 76 recorded mammal species and over 450 bird species. It lies at 619 m at the delta and 1,292 m at Rabongo Hill.

Have dinner and stay overnight.

After a rather early breakfast, go on a morning game drive with your Murchison Falls guide/driver.

In the afternoon, take a boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls. The Falls are rare and magnificent, one of Africa's wonders and a must-see for everyone. It is from these falls that Murchison derives its name.

Look out for pods of hippos, crocodiles, and a vast number of water birds. There are also high chances of seeing the Shoebill stork, from which the tour company derives its name.

Enjoy these spectacular falls with a hike to the top, where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gap, while huge Nile crocodiles bask below.

Have dinner and stay overnight.

After breakfast, begin your journey to Budongo Forest for yet another exciting adventure.

Meet the real cousins of human beings, otherwise known as the chimpanzees. Chimps share 98.7% of their genes with humans.

Spend time with them and return to the lodge.

After breakfast, you will be driven back to Kampala or Entebbe.
