STONE TOWN TOUR
Begin with a morning visit to the historic Stone Town and sightsee the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum (People’s Palace) and the Arab Fort amongst others, a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar.
Proceed to Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques.
Dinner and overnight stay at Coral beach resort. (Bed and breakfast)
-
SNORKELING IN ZANZIBAR
Snorkel in Zanzibar. Unlike many other popular snorkelling destinations around the world, it is still possible to find places that have never been explored along the coast. The many varieties of coral provide a home to thousands of colourful and exotic creatures, including blue ribbon tail rays, firefish and for the “Finding Nemo” fans, clownfish.
Dinner and overnight stay at Coral beach resort. (Bed and breakfast)
-
CYCLING ADVENTURES IN ZANZIBAR
Your Zanzibar guide will organize a bike trip and set the pace according to your fitness level and show you around the area off the beaten tracks.
Dinner and overnight at Nungwi Inn Hotel. (Bed and breakfast).
-
SPICE FARM TOUR
Go on an excursion to the spice and fruit plantations close to Stone town for the famous Spice Tour. We have developed a special spice tour with in-depth information not only about spices but also organically grown herbs and a detailed description of their traditional uses in medicine cosmetics and cooking.
Have an opulent lunch at your guides’ home, where you can get a flavour of regional spices and taste local fruits.
After lunch, head towards the beach resort. \
On the way, pass Jozani Forest, the last habitat of the rare endemic Red Colobus Monkey. With a local guide, stroll through Jozani Chwaka National Park and look at the rare monkeys. If you wish, you can even wander down the boardwalk to the fascinating Mangrove Ecosystem.
Dinner and overnight at Nungwi Inn Hotel. (Bed and breakfast).
-
DOLPHIN TRIP
Visit Kizimkazi fishing village, situated on the southern point of the island. This fishing village is home to several schools of bottle-nosed dolphins and humpback dolphins, which can often be sighted following a short boat trip from the village. If you are lucky, you may be able to swim quite close to the dolphins, which can be a very rewarding experience.
Dinner and overnight at the Tembo Hotel: (Bed and breakfast).
*This trip is done in the afternoon to avoid the crowds of tourists in the morning, which in big numbers disturb the dolphins.
-
ZANZIBAR TO THE AIRPORT
Depending on your flight schedule and departure point, transfer to the Zanzibar Airport to take a flight back home. If you are flying out of Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, your guide will arrange a connecting flight for you to catch your flight back home.
