Hallein, Obersalzberg, Berchtesgaden, Königssee and Ramsau

Drive south of Salzburg to the Hallein area, where you have the possibility to visit the salt mines (extra entrance fee). Learn how the Celtics mined salt here and discover the importance of salt in this region.
Continue across the border to Obersalzberg, where Hitler once had his summer residence, and see the location. In the summer months, between May and October, you also have the possibility to visit Hitler's Eagle's Nest (extra entrance fee) or the Documentation Center.
Drive on for great mountain views overlooking the village of Berchtesgaden, a historic town set among the mountains, and walk through the town with your Berchtesgaden tour guide.
Proceed either to the Königssee, a beautiful lake in the heart of the mountains, or to the village of Ramsau with its beautiful church and the Hintersee, an untouched jewel in the mountains with crystal-clear water directly from Berchtesgaden National Park, as the last destination of the tour.
