Shivapuri National Park to Nagi Gumba Hike
Meet your tour guide/driver at the agreed-upon location and visit two interesting religious sites.
Marvel at Budhanilkantha Temple, situated below the Shivapuri Hill at the northern end of the Kathmandu valley. See a large reclining statue of Lord Mahavishnu. The temple's main statue of Budhanilkantha is considered the largest stone carving in Nepal.
Enjoy a hike through Shivapuri National Park to reach Nagi Gumba. This area has always been an important water catchment area, supplying the Kathmandu Valley with several hundred thousand cubic liter of water daily. In 1976, the area was established as a protected watershed and wildlife reserve. See the daily routine of Nuns in the Monastery.
