Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

From Watamu to Amboseli and Tsavo East

Pick up from your hotel at 6:00 AM and drive to a restaurant in Watamu for breakfast.
Leave at 7:00 AM for Sala Gate, the main gate to Tsavo East National Park. En route, view crocodiles in the Galana River.
Drive through the park toward Amboseli, watching Lugard Falls, hippopotamuses, hyenas, and the famous secretary bird.
Stop for a lunch break at Amboseli Lodge.
Go for an evening game drive in Tsavo East.

Day 02

Wildlife and Geological Wonders in Tsavo West

On the following day, visit Tsavo West National Park. See the huge African rhino, elephant, and the Mzima glass aquarium. Also behold the Shetani Lava Flow, regarded as the biggest lava flow in the world.
Spend the night at Voi Wildlife in Tsavo East.

Day 03

Return Journey via the Mombasa Highway

Have breakfast at 7:00 AM.
Leave Tsavo East behind and travel along the Mombasa highway on a three-hour drive.
Pass through one of the oldest Swahili towns, now the second Kenyan capital city, on the way to Watamu.
