The itinerary

Day 01

Fly to Selous and Enjoy Your First Game Drives

Fly from Dar es Salaam at 07:00 AM with your Selous tour guide or representative to Julius Nyerere International Airport.
Proceed for a morning game drive in this beautiful park of Tanzania.
Have a bush-packed lunch together at a scenic picnic site and enjoy the views of Selous Park.
Head out for an evening game drive and look out for huge groups of elephants, black rhinos, buffalos, lions, leopards, and other animals.

Dinner and overnight stay at African Safari Lodge.

Day 02

Boat Safari on the Rufiji River and Afternoon Safari

Get up early in the morning and have breakfast at your lodge.
After breakfast, head out for a boat safari on the Rufiji River and discover more of the park. You can expect to see hippos, crocodiles, and other big fish.
Have lunch and then head out for a short safari drive.

Day 03

Sunrise Game Viewing and Transfer to Mikumi

Have hot coffee or tea early in the morning and go for a short drive in Selous to enjoy the sunrise and your last game viewing in the area.
At around 9:30 AM, return for a full breakfast.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Mikumi National Park.
Arrive in Mikumi in the afternoon and have a bush lunch together in a pleasant area.
After lunch, head out for an evening game drive.

Dinner and overnight stay at Mikumi Adventure Lodge.

Day 04

Full-Day Game Drive and Maasai Boma Visit

Wake up to a spectacular sunrise and be awe-inspired by the surreal scenes you witness.
After breakfast, leave the lodge and go for a morning game drive with your Tanzanian safari guide. This is the best time to spot the Big 4 animals: lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. The park is home to large groups of buffalos and impalas, and you may also enjoy seeing wildebeests, elands, and hippos.
In the afternoon, return for lunch and then visit a Maasai Boma. Enjoy their culture and gain a closer perspective on their way of life.
