Day 01

Lupanga Peak Hike in the Uluguru Mountains

• Head to Lupanga Peak, located in Uluguru North, east-south of Morogoro town, at 2138 m above sea level. The trail is steep and starts at the end of Forest Hill Road.

• Pass through farmland and into the nature reserve along a ridge up to the peak with your Uluguru Mountains trekking guide at Kibwe village. On a clear day, there are good views of the eastern side of the Uluguru. There is also a German tower built at the peak, which is used for viewing distant places.

• You may be able to see birds such as the Livingston Turaco, Silvery-cheeked Hornbills, and others.

This tour takes 10-11 hours in total.
