Khasab Dhow Cruise through the Musandam Fjords
- Meet and greet at Khasab Port and transfer to the dhow at 09:45 AM.
- Depart from Khasab Port to the fjords of Musandam on a traditionally decorated Omani dhow.
- Reach Khor Shem, a sheltered 17 km-long fjord. Enjoy snorkelling and swimming, and watch for dolphins playing and following the boats as they cruise around the villages.
- Visit Nadafi, where you will see water tanks near the beach that the Oman Government regularly provides with fresh water free of charge.
- Continue to Qanaha, a small fishing village where the stone houses blend into the cliffs made from local stone.
- Explore Maqlab and interact with the people who earn their living through goat-herding and fishing, the main occupations of the area.
- Make your way to Telegraph Island (Jazirat al Maqlab). Snorkelling here is a treat - put on your masks and enjoy the clear, calm waters. Watch out for butterflyfish and groupers, and admire some of the best coral growth in this fjord. The dhow is anchored at Telegraph Island for 1 1/2 hours for snorkelling, and lunch is served on board.
- Visit Sham, a village with around 50 inhabitants.
- See many species of seabirds at Seebi Island. On the island, take a plunge into the crystal-clear water. The dhow is anchored at Seebi Island for around 1 hour for snorkelling.
- Return to Khasab Port.
