Tambopata River Wildlife Cruise
Meet your Peruvian tour guide at the airport or at a pre-decided location.
Make your way to Puerto Maldonado, where you will receive relevant information about your trip to the jungle before heading to the river port.
Begin the Tambopata River journey by boat. Keep an eye out for two-toed sloths frequently found on the treetops by the bank. Also look for capybaras, river turtles, hoatzins, snowy egrets, kingfishers, macaws, toucans, and parrots, among many other birds and animals.
Enjoy a captivating view of the sunset from the boat. The Tambopata River has one of the most outstanding landscapes at sunset time.
Around twilight, see some nocturnal species that come out to hunt, such as alligators, nighthawks, frogs, and snakes. They are more sensitive to low light and adapt themselves to these conditions.
Return to your lodge at night and settle into your private cabins. Enjoy dinner served at the lodge restaurant, accompanied by a refreshing drink of seasonal fruits.
Spend the night at the lodge listening to the sounds of the jungle.
