4-Day Nile Cruise in Egypt with Philae, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Luxor

• Meet and greet your Egypt tour guide at the meeting point in Aswan and proceed for your check-in on the boat.

• Visit Philae - Isis Temple in the afternoon. The temple stood on Philae Island south of Aswan, and after the construction of the High Dam, it remained submerged for several months each year. It was moved to the neighbouring island of Agilika in 1980.

• Visit the High Dam, which is more than 3,800 meters long and 111 meters high. Its construction was initiated by President Nasser.

• You have the morning to yourself. If you want to visit Abu Simbel Temples (optional, costs extra), you can travel in the early hours and return to the boat by noon.

• Sail towards Kom Ombo.

• Visit Kom Ombo Temple, the temple of the ancient crocodile god Sobek. The double temple of Sobek and Horus was half-covered by sand for a long time. In 1893, it was uncovered and displayed. Hundreds of crocodile mummies were found in the area.

• Proceed to sail towards Edfu.

• Have a fulfilling breakfast on board and proceed for your sightseeing.

• Visit Edfu Temple, which until 1860 was hidden under sand and silt from the Nile before Francois Marriette uncovered it.

• Sail towards Luxor.

• Visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank of the Nile. Luxor Temple, built by Amenophis III and Ramses II, was also used by Alexander the Great. At the entrance, you can see part of the Alley of the Sphinx, which connected Luxor Temple with Karnak Temple for the most important religious festival of the year.

• Stay overnight in Luxor. There is a possibility to visit the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple (optional, surcharge).

• Visit Karnak Temple, with its gorgeous hypostyle hall and 134 pylons built by Seti I and Ramses II. It is the biggest temple in Egypt, built over 2,000 years.

• Drop anchor at the West Bank of Luxor.

• Proceed to the Valley of the Kings - the place where ancient Egyptians laid their kings to rest. It was meant to remain hidden, and the amazing treasures found in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun came from here.

• Step inside Hatshepsut Temple, the landmark of Luxor, dedicated to the country's unique female pharaoh.

• Be impressed by the statues of Amenophis III at the Colossi of Memnon, which protected the huge temple. Unfortunately, nothing is left of the monument. Lately, new archaeological discoveries have been taking place here.
