Tambopata River Wildlife Cruise and Caiman Search
Upon arrival at the airport, your Peru tour guide will assist you.
Then, head to the tour office in Puerto Maldonado. Here, you will receive relevant information about your trip in the jungle before continuing to the river port.
Begin the journey by boat, looking for two-toed sloths, which are frequently found on the treetops along the riverbank.
Continue on the Tambopata River and look for more wildlife, such as capybaras, river turtles, fish-eating birds, shorebirds, and parrots. Enjoy a captivating view of the sunset from the boat, as the Tambopata River offers one of the most outstanding landscapes at sunset.
Caiman searching: around twilight, see species that come out to hunt, such as alligators, nighthawks, frogs, and snakes. These animals are more sensitive to low light and are well adapted to these conditions.
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will settle into your private cabins. Dinner will be served at the lodge's restaurant, accompanied by a refreshing seasonal fruit drink.
Overnight at the lodge, listening to the sounds of the jungle.
