Itinerary

1. Day 1: Yangon - Bago - Kimpun base camp

   • Your Myanmar tour guide will meet you at your hotel and drive you to Bago in about 2 hours. On the way, explore Htauk Kyant and a bustling local market, and then continue to Bago. 

   • Upon arrival at Bago, visit Kyaikpun pagoda, take some photos at Myathalyaung pagoda and the most beautiful reclining, Shwethalyaung Pagoda. 

   • Then, head to Kyakhatwine monastery to observe the discipline of Buddhist monks. 

   • Transfer to a restaurant for lunch (not included).

   • Visit Kanbawzathardi Palace of King Bayinnaung, Snake monastery, Shwemawdaw pagoda and Hinthagon pagoda. 

   • Continue to Kyaiktiyo pagoda on another two-hour drive. 

   • Arrive at Kimpun Base Camp and transfer to your hotel.

2. Day 2: Kyaiktiyo Pagoda - Yangon

   • After having breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the truck station. Take a truck to Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (about 40 minutes). This is an uphill drive from the base camp to the top of the mountain where Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is situated. 

   • From there, walk for about 10 minutes to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda complex. Then donate some gold leaf at Kyaiktiyo Pagoda like Buddhists and walk around the Pagoda complex to take some photos. 

   • Breathe in the fresh air from the top of the rocky mountain. Here, go on a short hike to Crow’s mouth (2 hours). Along the way, you can see several local shops.

   • After exploring enough at the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda complex, take the cable car to Yathae mountain with your Myanmar tour guide. 

   • Next, take a public truck again to reach Kimpun Base Camp. Here, your private car is waiting to take you back to Yangon. 

   • Upon arrival in Yangon, transfer to your lodging hotel.
