Athens Landmarks and Historic Neighbourhoods by E-Tuk Tuk
- Start at the Greek Parliament and see the well-known Evzones guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier monument and performing their memorial march.
- Listen to the driver provide a brief insight into the emblematic buildings along the way, and see and stop at the Academy of Athens.
- Make a short stop, if you wish, to see an Orthodox church from the inside, with impressive paintings on the ceilings.
- Stop at Lycabettus Hill for 30 minutes and enjoy an impressive panoramic view over all of Athens.
- Pass by the Kolonaki neighbourhood.
- See the President's Palace and the Presidential Guards, and take a picture with these famous Evzones.
- Pass by, or make a short stop to see, the Ancient Olympic Stadium in Athens.
- Admire the stunning temple dedicated to Zeus and the magnificent arch.
- Cross Plaka, the old historical neighbourhood of Athens.
- Learn about the Roman Agora ruins while driving around and making a stop right at the entrance.
- Observe the well-preserved Temple of Hephaestus.
- Ride through this neighbourhood, where you can enjoy a view of the Acropolis and the Parthenon from another angle.
- Go through the Flea Market of Monastiraki; feel free to make a short stop if you want to go on a short walk through its narrow roads.
- Make your way through one of the streets of this old neighbourhood that is now becoming the new hub area of the city.
- Reach the Central Market of Athens and ask for a short stop if you want to take some souvenirs with you.
- See the statue of Theodoros Kolokotronis.
- Stop here to visit this hill, where Socrates was held as a prisoner.
- Make a short stop so you can see this small hill with views over the Monastiraki neighbourhood. This hill is where Saint Paul the Apostle spoke to the Athenians about Jesus Christ.
You can choose to visit the Acropolis, as it is the last stop the driver will make before the end of your tour. Coordinate with the driver regarding your drop-off.
