Day by day
After breakfast, drive to Monywa by coach.
On the way, visit Thanboddhay Pagoda in Mohnyin, which is said to accommodate 582,357 small Buddha idols. Continue to see Bodi Tahtaung Pagoda, the 90-meter-long reclining Buddha idol, and the world's highest standing Buddha idol at 129 meters.
Arrive in Monywa and check in at the hotel.
After lunch, visit Kyaukka lacquerware village and Shwe Guni Pagoda.
Drive to Powin Taung, located on the western banks of the Chindwin River.
Cross the Chindwin Bridge to visit the Po Win Taung and Shwe Ba Taung Pagoda cave complexes. These complexes of 492 cave temples are packed with 2,588 Buddha images, and some of the caves feature beautiful 16th-century wall paintings.
