Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park Safari
After breakfast at 07:30 am, leave your Nairobi hotel with your Nakuru tour guide for the journey westwards to the Great Rift Valley, with a brief stop at the escarpment for a photo session and a breathtaking view of the valley.
Drive down to the floor of the scenic Rift Valley towards Lake Nakuru Park. Your arrival in Nakuru will be followed by lunch at Nakuru Lodge.
Proceed for the afternoon game drive in the park. You will have a chance to see the Big Five except elephants, as well as Rothschild's giraffe and predators like lions and leopards. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. It has earned the nickname 'The Birds' Sanctuary' or 'The Pink Lake' as birds of all kinds visit it regularly. The park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch.
Make the most of the afternoon with a fun game drive.
Keep an eye out for exotic birds like the White Pelicans, Greater Flamingos, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Stork, to name a few, out of the 400 different species of birds that flock here.
At 06:30 pm, you will exit the park and head back to your hotel or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
