Day 01

Ljubljana Old Town and Landmark Walking Tour

• Start your tour in Prešeren Square, home to the famous Triple Bridge, with your Ljubljana tour guide.

• Continue to Kongres Square, where the university building stands proudly alongside what is perhaps the most beautiful Baroque building in the city, the Ursuline Church of the Holy Trinity.

• Take just a few steps from the square to reach the National Library.

• From there, enter one of the medieval city cores and listen to the stories of Cobbler Bridge and the River Ljubljanica. After crossing the bridge, you can see and feel what life in medieval Ljubljana was really like in the 15th century.

• Proceed to City Hall and the Cathedral, both located nearby.

• Continue the tour to the marketplace, Butcher's Bridge, and Dragon Bridge.

• One of Europe's smallest capitals is situated a little short of the geographical center of Slovenia. The city's scenic medieval core is squeezed between the Ljubljanica River and Castle Hill. Ljubljana, also known as the City of the Dragon, is walkable, and its center is closed to traffic. Due to this and other measures taken in the last 15 years, Ljubljana was honoured with the European Green Capital title in 2016. From the castle tower, there is a breathtaking view of the city and 30% of Slovenia.
