Day 01

Khor Virap, Areni, Noravank and Jermuk

  • Meet your Armenian driver at your hotel in the morning.

  • Make your first stop at Areni village. Visit Areni Cave, where the oldest leather shoe was found 7-8 years ago.

  • Afterwards, you will be hosted at the Areni Wine Factory and familiarized with traditional and modern winemaking methods.

  • Visit Khor Virap Monastery, located close to the Turkish border. This is the most suitable place to admire the beauty of Mt. Ararat.

  • Make your next stop at the medieval Noravank Monastery, surrounded by magical red cliffs. The huge rocks on both sides of the road make it mysterious and impressive.

  • Reach Jermuk city, one of the famous resort centres in Armenia. It is known for hot mineral springs with different temperatures.

  • Take in the scenery of the forests, the clean and fresh air, and beautiful waterfalls. Jermuk is the last stop on your first day.

Overnight in Jermuk.

Day 02

Goris, Tatev Monastery and Zorats Karer

  • Meet your driver early in the morning.

  • Go to Goris city and stop at the dwellings. These caves were once houses of ancient people. Many of these rooms are linked together as if forming an apartment. Archaeological works and findings help you understand the lifestyle of these people.

  • Proceed to the Tatev Ropeway, the longest ropeway in the world. It takes nearly 12 minutes to reach Tatev Monastery by ropeway, and it is the shortest way to reach Tatev Monastery, one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia.

  • Admire the amazing nature around you while gliding over the gorge.

  • Head to the last stop of your trip, Zorats Karer (Armenian Stonehenge). This place might be older than Stonehenge in England, is not far from Sisian town, and is regarded as an ancient observatory of Armenia. This complex consists of huge stones, many of which have holes. Studies show that these holes play a role on certain days of the year depending on the direction of sunlight.

  • Finish your 2-day tour and return to Yerevan full of unforgettable memories, carrying a piece of Armenia with you.
