Day by day
Arrive at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, where you will be met by a Botswana safari guide holding a signboard.
Your guide will transfer you to your accommodation for an overnight stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis at your own expense. Lunch and dinner will also be at your own expense.
Upon arrival at Khama Rhino Sanctuary, you will track rhinos by following their tracks and learning a few tricks about the wild. This very interesting activity takes place in the morning only and is accompanied by qualified guides. Its purpose is not only to find the rhinos, but also to learn some of the survival techniques and habits these animals have adopted through their evolution. The activity starts at 06:00 am, and clients are advised to wear appropriate footwear and bush-coloured clothing.
Head back to the campsite, where brunch will be served.
Later in the afternoon, there will be a game drive, giving you the chance to see animals such as black rhinos, white rhinos, impalas, giraffes, black-backed jackals, steenbok antelopes, blue wildebeest, zebras, and ostriches.
Back at the campsite, dinner will be served.
Bedtime will be determined by the last client.
Wake up early and head for Lekhubu Island immediately after breakfast with your Botswana tour guide.

Upon arrival, clients will be taken on a game drive and later return to camp for a shower and dinner before heading to bed.
The morning begins with breakfast, after which you will explore Lekhubu Island and this vast salt pan.
Return to camp for lunch and a siesta before heading out again in the afternoon to witness once more the landscape and wildlife of Lekhubu Island.
Come back to camp to shower, with dinner following shortly after. Bedtime will be determined by the last guest.
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will depart for the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. You will spend 2 nights at Deception Valley, where the accommodation is tented camping. During your stay here, you will track the black-maned lion of the Kalahari. African wild dogs, cheetahs, and brown hyenas may also be seen following their prey in this untamed wilderness.
There will be an afternoon game drive, and dinner will be served at the campsite, prepared by the chef. The client will determine the time for bed.
Wake up at around 06:00 am for a light breakfast and a game drive through areas you did not get the chance to cover on the previous day.
Return to camp for lunch and a siesta before heading out again in the afternoon for another game drive.
Come back to camp to shower, with dinner following shortly after. Bedtime will be determined by the last guest.
On the departure day, you will be transferred to Maun and then taken to the airport to continue with your onward travel arrangements.

The Khama Rhino Sanctuary (KRS) is a community-based wildlife project established in 1992 to help save the vanishing rhinoceros, restore an area formerly teeming with wildlife to its previous natural state, and provide economic benefits to the local Botswana community through tourism and the sustainable use of natural resources. Covering approximately 8,585 hectares of Kalahari Sandveld, the sanctuary provides prime habitat for white and black rhinos, as well as over 30 other animal species and more than 230 species of birds.
Lekhubu Island is a rock outcrop that was submerged in the waters of the great Lake Makgadikgadi, once one of the largest lakes in Africa. Kubu is a Setswana name for hippopotamus, while Lekhubu means a rock outcrop. About 10,000 years ago, Lake Makgadikgadi dried up, and Lekhubu was left as an island surrounded by miles and miles of white salt. Research indicates that climatic changes and the earth's movements over thousands and thousands of years caused this dramatic change to occur. Low rock walls on the southern side of Lekhubu Island date back to the great Zimbabwean empire.
Central Kalahari Game Reserve encompasses 52,000 square kilometres. This region of vast open plains, salt pans, and ancient riverbeds is home to large herds of springbok and gemsbok. Made famous by Mark and Delia Owen in the book Cry of the Kalahari, you will spend 2 nights at Deception Valley, where the accommodation is tented camping. During your stay here, you will track the black-maned lion of the Kalahari. African wild dogs, cheetahs, and brown hyenas can also follow their prey in this untamed wilderness. The black-maned lion of the Kalahari has a dominant colour. Its adaptation is very high, and therefore it can survive in harsh conditions.
The reserve has a variety of geological formations shaped by changing climate over thousands of years. The Okwa River, now dry, once fed Lake Makgadikgadi. Today, this ancient fossil river forms a huge and beautiful valley in the southern part of the reserve. The open grasslands that spring to life with the coming of the rains support abundant game.
Deception Valley is the reserve's most famous location. This is a long, broad, inter-dune valley running roughly north-south, and it is considered the bed of a fossil river. During and after good rains, it is carpeted in luscious green grass that attracts dense concentrations of game.
