Itinerary

1. Day 1: Lan Ha Bay - Monkey Island - Ha Long Bay - Ba Trai Dao

   • 7:45 - Meet at the office. 

   • 8:00 - Get on the mini-bus to transport to Beo Dock (Just 5 minutes away from the office).

   • 8:15 - Start the cruise by going through Beo floating fishing village, Monkey Island (don't stop at Monkey island to avoid the crowds and aggressive monkey), keep cruising around Lan Ha Bay to enjoy amazing landscapes of limestone islands.

   • 9:30 - Stop to visit the biggest fishing farm. Spend 20 to 25 minutes walking around the farm and take pictures of the fishes and discover how Vietnamese fishermen earn their livings.

   • 9:50 - Continue cruising to Buddha Island and cross the border to get out of Lan Ha to be in Ha Long Bay. Keep moving along the less touristic parts where you can sight-seeing to Bai Tu Long Bay as well as taking beautiful pictures of the bay. The boat brings you to go up to the north part of Ha Long bay before anchoring at the very calm lagoon to have lunch.

   • 11:30 - Enjoy Vietnamese food, seafood and vegetarian food lunch on the boat. The lagoon known to be very calm and quiet so that you hardly see other tourists or tourist boats moving around. 

   • After lunch, you can take part in jumping-swimming or just playing photographer to the surrounding landscapes.

   • 12:45 - Continue moving to Hang Ca area for kayaking. Spend one and a half hours kayaking through Dark Cave-Bat Cave-Bright Cave and Monkey Cave. Dark Cave is the most beautiful cave, around 400 meters long and decorated with so many stalactites holding on the ceiling of the cave. These activities will be guided by an English speaking Vietnamese tourist guide. You will do kayaking in a group led by the guide. 

   • Go for swimming or snorkelling in an area named Ba Trai Dao.

   • 15:00 - Arrive at Ba Trai Dao for swimming and snorkelling.

   • 16:00 - Continue moving to the floating homestay to stay overnight.

   • 16:45 - Arrive at the floating homestay for checking in and relax. Relish in Vietnamese food and seafood dinner in the floating homestay.

2. Day 2: Tung Cai Lagoon - Lan Ha Bay - Cat Ba

   • 7:30 - Indulge in sunrise breakfast with some free hot drinks.

   • 8:30 - Go for kayaking to explore Tung Cai Lagoon. The lagoon is known to be used in many Hollywood movies.

   • 10:20 - Come back to the floating homestay to have a shower.

   • 11:00 - Follow back to the boat to head on to the harbour.

   • 11:30 - Eat lunch at the most famous local restaurant.

   • 12:30 - The trip finishes. 

   Optional: You can go directly back Hanoi or Ninh Binh which can be arranged with extra cost.
