Ephesus Historical Ruins and Sites
- Meet the tour guide at the port. Transfer to the House of the Virgin Mary on the top of the beautiful Solmissos Mountains. It is believed Mary spent her last living days.
- Drive to the Ancient City of Ephesus. Enjoy a downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of the Roman capital. Your route takes you past the Bouleuterion (a building in ancient Greece which housed the council of citizens of a democratic city-state), Temple of Domitian, the first structure in Ephesus known to be dedicated to an emperor and the Hercules Gate.
- See the Temple of Hadrian (Historical landmark), The Celsus Library (the third-largest library in the Roman world) and The Great Theater.
- Continue to The Temple of Artemis (Diana). The temple is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
- Get introduced to the local cultural aspects of Ephesus by witnessing handmade carpet & rug art being done through traditional weaving in the Teaching Village. Also, inspect many of Ephesus' ceramics.
