Day 01

Split, Ancient Salona and Klis Fortress Tour

Visit the ruins of the ancient city of Solin (Roman Salona), set among the vineyards at the foot of the mountains just northeast of Split. This is one of the most archaeologically important sites in Croatia.
Continue to Klis Fortress, located 13 km northeast of Split in Croatia. Due to its position on a pass separating two mountains, the fortress helped defend the region throughout history. Dating back to the seventh century, it began as a small stronghold, later developed into a royal castle, and eventually became a large fortress during the Ottoman wars.
Enjoy an authentic table lunch at a family farm before heading back to your hotel or accommodation at the end of the tour.
