Cycle from Belgrade to Pančevo through the Danube Marshes
- Start your biking tour from the Serbian guide's garage at Cvijićeva 134, where you will be given the bikes that you will use on the tour. The guide will also provide some refreshments for the journey.
- Follow a bike path to the bridge on the Danube River, known as Pančevac.
- Once you cross the bridge, continue along the dam by the Danube all the way to the small town of Pančevo. This part of the trip is an off-road ride, so be prepared for a bumpy road. Along the way to Pančevo, you will ride beside the Danube marshes, where you can see birds that live in marshlands, such as swans, ducks, herons, and cormorants. Different amphibians and reptiles are also a common sight on this hidden road, but there is no need to worry, as they are not dangerous. There will be many opportunities to stop, take nice pictures, or simply relax by the water.
- In the town of Pančevo, enter via an old bridge that crosses the small river Tamiš.
- Stop for a meal. You can choose the famous burek with kolenica, which comes highly recommended, or enjoy a regular Serbian pljeskavica.
- Cycle around Pančevo, where the guide will show you its treasures, including old abandoned factories and its beautiful city core.
- After sightseeing in Pančevo, head back the same way you came, along the dam and back to the garage.
