Saqqara, Dahshur, and the Great Pyramids of Giza
Pick up from your hotel and start your day with your Egyptologist guide by visiting Saqqara, the site of the first pyramid and the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, built by the genius architect Imhotep, as well as the 5th and 6th Dynasty pyramids of Unas and Teti, which contain the oldest copies of the Pyramid Texts.
Then move on to Dahshur, the site of the Red Pyramid, the first complete pyramid of King Senfru, and the Bent Pyramid as well.
Break up the day with a lunch stop at a local touristic restaurant.
After lunch, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza: the three pyramids of the kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, the only standing wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Enjoy a camel ride in the pyramids area.
Continue to the Sphinx, the famous large statue representing the head of King Chephren and the body of a lion, and the Valley Temple of Chephren, the site where the body of the great king was mummified.
