The museum displays a rare collection covering 5,000 years of art and is considered home to the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. More than 250,000 remarkable artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen's treasures, gold, and jewellery, which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s during the excavation of his tomb.
