3-Day Bromo and Ijen Trekking Tour from Surabaya or Malang

• Get picked up from Surabaya Airport or Malang city according to your arrival time. Hotel pickup in the city center is also available at no additional charge.
• Head to Cemorolawang village and stop at Madakaripura Waterfall as an optional program.
• Visit Madakaripura Waterfall with an additional local guide. Some simple trekking through dripping and watery gorges is required.
• Explore the gorges of Madakaripura Waterfall and then continue to Cemorolawang village.
• Check in at Bromo Permai, Café Lava, or Istana Petani, depending on availability, for rest and free time.

Note: If the arrival time is a bit late, you will visit Madakaripura Waterfall the next day.

• Wake up early for pickup by jeep at 03.00 am from the guesthouse.

• Head to the Penanjakan sunrise point in a 4x4 jeep.

• Enjoy the sunrise and beautiful views of the national park.

• Continue to explore Bromo crater, Bromo Pura, and the surrounding black sand desert area.

• Return to the guesthouse and get ready for breakfast.

• Around 10.00 am, check out and head to the Ijen area via Bondowoso, with a 7-hour drive.

• Have lunch and dinner on the way.

• Upon arrival at the hotel, check in at Ijen View or Palm Bondowoso Hotel and rest.

• Wake up early in the morning and check out from the hotel.

• Drive to Paltuding, the starting point of the trek, about 1 hour from the hotel.

• Meet the local guide at Paltuding.

• Proceed on a 2-hour trek up to the crater rim.

• Explore the blue fire and sunrise with your Indonesian tour guide.

• After sunrise, descend to the trekking starting point.

• Have breakfast in Paltuding and get dropped off at Ketapang Harbour. The driver will help buy a ferry ticket, or drive you back to Surabaya city in about 7 hours.
