Day 01

Bucharest, Constanța and South Dobrogea Discovery

  • 08:30: Get picked up by your licensed Romanian tour guide from your hotel or accommodation.

  • Drive over the Cernavodă Bridge, a masterpiece by Anghel Saligny. When it was inaugurated in 1895, it was the longest bridge in Europe and was named in honour of King Carol I.

  • Enjoy wine tasting at Rasova Winery, featuring splendid local wines in a gorgeous location overlooking the Danube.

  • Cruise the full length of Mamaia Boulevard from north to south, covering 8 km.

  • Traditional lunch by the sea in the Old Town of Constanța (optional).

  • Beach time.

  • Check-in/check-out.

  • Take a walking tour in the Old Town of Constanța, including the famous Roman mosaic, the Genovese Lighthouse, and the seaside walk by the Casino, the most renowned Art Nouveau building in Romania.

  • Visit the Adamclisi Monument, built by the Roman Emperor Traian. Dating from 106 A.D., it is one of Romania's oldest monuments and definitely one of the most impressive in the Balkan Peninsula.

  • Explore Saint Andrew's Cave, dating back to the 1st century, where St Andrew dwelt on his route through Eastern Europe.

  • Traditional lunch (optional wine tasting).

  • Stop by the famous Dervent Monastery.

  • Cross the Danube by ferry.

  • Return to Bucharest and get dropped off at your hotel or accommodation.
