Kruja and Its Medieval Legacy

• Meet your tour guide upon arrival and begin your guided tour of Kruja. This small town is perched high on the face of a hill and is considered the "Adriatic Sea's Balcony" because of its altitude above mean sea level, approximately 1000 m. Kruja was the centre of 15th-century Albanian resistance to the Ottomans under the leadership of the national hero Gjergj Kastrioti "Skanderbeg".
• Visit the unique Skanderbeg Museum inside the restored Krujë Castle and the Ethnographical Museum with your Kruje tour guide. The street leading up to the castle is built in the style of a Turkish bazaar, where you can stroll through the old market and browse a wonderful selection of authentic antiques and souvenirs.
