Day 01

Arrival in Baku and Old City Discovery

  • In the morning at 10:00 am, start with a nice and tasty breakfast to build up enough energy before a long walk.

  • Enter the fortress of the Old City through the Gosha Gala Gates. At the entrance, you will find a tiny restaurant called Mangal, where you will get real traditional Azerbaijani cuisine.

  • Continue the journey to the Maiden Tower and Icheri Sheher (Old City) at 11:00 am. The main symbol of ancient Baku is a mysterious tower. Your guide will show you every corner of this tower and help you get into the spirit of old times.

  • Travel around at 12:30 pm through authentic streets, historic walls, and souvenir shops covered with a multitude of colourful items and, of course, quaint colourful sellers. Here, you will find handmade articles and goods, beautiful silk scarfs, kerchiefs, and neckpieces, as well as the Azerbaijani national headdress kelaghayi, small city symbols and statues, bijouterie made of natural stones, and even traditional crafts made of natural wool, such as Papakha hats, special bags, and much more.
