Day 01

Addis Ababa to Wenchi Crater Lake and Monastery

In the morning, depart Addis Ababa for Wenchi Crater Lake with your Ethiopian guide. Wenchi is a highland area situated 155 km west of Addis Ababa. The area is famed for its beautiful mountainous landscape and stunning crater lake. It will take around 3 hours to reach the starting point for the hike.
Hike or take a horse down to the bottom of the crater.
Eat lunch at the lakeside, after which you'll take a short boat trip to see an old monastery on one of the lake's islands.
After the monastery visit, hike or take a horse back to the top of the crater.
Take the car back to Addis Ababa.
