3-Day Tirana Hiking and Sightseeing Tour with Pëllumbas and Gamti

• Meet your guide upon arrival at the hotel.

• Start your trip to Pëllumbas Cave with your Tirana tour guide. Pëllumbas Cave, also known as the Black Cave, is an archaeological site in Albania near the village of Pëllumbas. You will travel from Tirana to Pëllumbasi village by minibus for about 45 minutes.

• Hike to the cave along a marked trail of متوسط difficulty. The forest, the Erzen River, Dajti Mountain, and the view of the city of Tirana make this an unforgettable place. The hike to the cave lasts about 1 hour. Once you reach the cave entrance, you will take a short break before going inside to explore it.

• Explore the cave and its unique, fascinating appearance. This cave is among the six well-known karst caves in Europe because of its distinctive formations. It lies 350 meters above sea level and is 70-80 meters long.

• After exploring the cave, eat the food you have brought with you and relax in nature.

• Head back down to the village, which takes around 45 minutes, and return to Tirana.

• After breakfast, start visiting Tirana. The tour begins with the newly opened atomic nuclear bunker. Bunk'Art 2 Museum in Tirana was opened to the public as a museum that sheds light on political persecution during the Albanian communist era. The museum - called Bunk'Art 2 - is also intended to memorialise the tens of thousands of people imprisoned and executed by the communist regime.

• Continue to the National Historical Museum, followed by a stop at the Mosque of Et'hem Bey, built in 1793.

• Travel to the Opera House, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, which overlooks Skanderbeg Square. A walk along the main boulevard offers a close view of the City Hall and a number of governmental buildings on both sides. You will also pass the National Gallery of Arts along the way.

• Visit the former communist residential area, now filled with modern bars, restaurants, and pubs frequented by different age groups, especially Albanian youth.

• Meet at 08:00 AM at the hotel and start your trip to Bovilla Lake. The road is about 21 km long, and half of it is off-road. Along the way, you will see the suburban neighbourhoods of Tirana, where you can observe a very different lifestyle from that of the city.

• Drive up to the lake dam and continue until you reach Bovilla Lake.

• Prepare to hike Mount Gamti. The hiking track is easy, and every step rewards you with an even more beautiful view as you make your way to the top. The hike lasts about 40 minutes.

• Enjoy the view from the top of the hill. There is an impressive panorama of the lake and the green hills. Take time to rest, enjoy the gorgeous scenery, talk, play, and eat food under the cave's shadows.

• Return by the same track, which takes about 30 minutes.

• Make a short stop at the river below the dam, where the formed canyons are unique and, if you wish, you can swim in the river's fresh water.

• Return to Tirana. Back to Tirana and end of service.
