Pindaya Caves and Shan Village Excursion

  • Pick up from your hotel in Nyaung Shwe or from Heho Airport by car, then drive to Pindaya, which takes about 2 hours.
  • On the way, enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Shan Plateau and its colourful vegetable farms. Meet local people in the villages and stop for photos.
  • Visit the famous natural limestone cave, which contains 8,094 Buddha images and stupas set into the cave walls. Also, enjoy a nice view from the top.
  • Next, continue to a Shan paper and bamboo umbrella-making village, where you will also see a banyan tree that is more than 300 years old, making the place even more attractive. Then, drive back to Nyaung Shwe.
