Day 01
Inle Lake Villages, Markets, and Cottage Industries
- Pick up by your tour guide from your hotel in Nyaung Shwe, on and around Inle Lake. Travel by private boat to visit the local cottage industry villages and see a variety of traditional activities.
- Tour the colourful morning farmer market and meet tribal people of Shan, Paoh, Taung Yoo, and Intha, who still wear their traditional clothing throughout the day.
- Visit the unique fishers with their one-leg rowing technique, who use a distinctive method of fishing. You will also see the Inle floating gardens, where several vegetables are grown beside the long stilt farmer villages.
- Next, travel to the Inn Paw Kone hand-weaving village, known for lotus, silk, and cotton products in different designs and colours.
- Then, continue to Nampan boatbuilding village and a cheroot-making village.
- Proceed to Pauk Par fisherman villages with bamboo houses.
- After that, visit Ywama village, a silversmith-making village, and Padaung, where long-neck women can be seen in their traditional dress. Then go back to the hotel.
