Day 01

Colombo Landmarks, Sacred Sites, and Shopping

Start your tour with a pickup from your hotel or Colombo port at 9 am. Your English-speaking Colombo driver will take you to explore Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya Temple, one of the most revered temples for Buddhists in and around Colombo. It is said to have been made sacred during Lord Buddha's final visit to Sri Lanka.
Visit several other religious monuments, such as Parvathi Hindu Temple, St. Anthony's Church, Gangaramaya Temple, and the island temple of Seema Malaka.
Proceed to Apegama, a replica of the villages of old Sri Lanka, and see the Parliament of Sri Lanka.
Around 1 pm, have lunch at Rajabojun Grand Buffet and enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan meal.
Then visit BMICH, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Independence Square, Lotus Pond Theater, and Galle Face Green, an urban park that spans five hectares along the Indian Ocean coast.
At around 2:30 pm, proceed to Romafour Shopping Complex, Serene Center for herbal products, gems, and tea, and Odel Shopping Complex so you can shop at leisure and collect priceless souvenirs.
At 5 pm, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Colombo port.
