10-Day Madagascar Tour with Mount Amber, Ankarana and Nosy Be

After pick-up and transfer to the hotel in Antananarivo, get a special briefing about your upcoming journey and ask any questions you may have about your upcoming adventure.

After your breakfast, drive to the Ivato Airport and board a domestic flight that will take you to the city of Antisiranana (Diego Suarez).

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy some free to either explore the city of Diego or simply relax.

Drive down three hours and visit the “Montagne des Francais”, where you will find the endemic Baobab that is indigenous to the northern region of Madagascar. 

Feast your eyes at the second-largest bay in the world after Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Diego Bay.

Continue your drive south to the final destination Joffreville. 

Arrive and check into your hotel. 

Spend three to four hours at the Mount Amber National Park and learn about the various fauna such as lemurs and orchids. Take the opportunity to view the beautiful cascade and crater lake located at Mount Amber National Park.

Start towards your final destination Ankarana with your Madagascar guide on a 3-hour drive.

On your way to Ankarana, stop by Red Tsingy. A stone formation of red laterite formed by the Irodo River's erosion, it is one of the most impressive tourist destinations. 

Spend the day wandering in the National Park of Ankarana. See big rocks that are millions of years old and spectacular caves, subterranean rivers with underground-dwelling and meet several animals such as the Nile crocodiles, blind cavefish. 

Return to the hotel and settle in for the evening. 

Drive 6 hours south to Ankify, where you will experience sailing on the beautiful blue waters for 45 minutes till you reach the island of Nosy Be.

On your journey to Nosy Be, you will cross the valley of Sambirano and see the cacao and vanilla, “girofle” plantations.

Arrive and check into the hotel.

You can either relax at the hotel or roam around the island and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Indulge in the activities offered by the hotel, such as visiting the nearby islands, kayaking, snorkelling, etc., spend the day at your leisure.

Spend the morning exploring Iranja Island. It has one of the best beaches in the world, and all of the guests that visit this island fall in love with it.

In the afternoon, head back to Nosy Be and enjoy some more free time on the island, or take the opportunity to visit Mont Passot and Crater Lake.

After breakfast, drive to the airport in Nosy Be and board the one hour flight to Antananarivo.

Upon arrival, check into the hotel and get settled.

Continue the day with a visit to the upper city, the Manjakamiadana Palace and Andafiavaratra Museum, which are key historical places of Madagascar.

Delight in a free morning to shop for pretty souvenirs. During your shopping tour, look at Malagasy craftwork, local spices, vanilla, and much more.

After shopping, prepare for your departure to Ivato International Airport.

Arrive at the airport 2 hours before your departure time.
