9-Day Madagascar Wildlife and Beach Tour with Sainte Marie

Arrive at the airport, where your Malagasy guide will be waiting with a sign bearing your name.

After pick-up and transfer to your hotel in Antananarivo, receive a special briefing about your upcoming journey and ask any questions you may have about your adventure.

After a good breakfast, begin your journey with a relaxing three-hour drive from Antananarivo to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, also called Analamazoatra.

Upon arrival in Andasibe, get settled comfortably into your hotel.

In the evening after sunset, look out for nocturnal animals such as the biggest chameleon in the world, nocturnal lemurs, snakes, and other wildlife.

Take an extensive tour of Andasibe Park, where you will meet and learn about different species of lemurs, monkeys, and wild birds, including the "flying-catcher," the Bleu vanga Coua bird. See various trees such as the "Palissandre" tree and the "Ebony" tree.

In the afternoon, venture through the private reserve of "Vakona," where you will see other animals such as foxes and crocodiles.

After a delicious breakfast, start your journey to the beautiful village of Foulpointe (Mahavelona). During the drive to Foulpointe, you will see the hypnotizing green landscape with the "Ravenala," a flowering plant unique to Madagascar's east coast.

On the way to Foulpointe, stop in Tamatave, locally known as Toamasina. This region is famous for being the first and biggest commercial port in Madagascar.

After your stop in Tamatave city, continue the drive with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean to your final destination for the day, Foulpointe. Foulpointe is known for its calm sea, surrounded by a naturally long coral wall.

Upon arrival in Foulpointe, settle into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Drive for an hour from Foulpointe and arrive at the small port town of Mahambo, where you will catch a boat that will transport you to the majestic island of Sainte Marie.

Arrive on Sainte Marie Island and settle into your hotel room. The island is known as the Island for Pirates, and you will find many interesting and historical places, such as the pirates' tomb cemetery, a natural swimming pool located in the north of the island, as well as "Ile-aux-Nattes" and "Ilot-Madame," two small islands located to the south of Sainte Marie.

After breakfast, take a 45-minute flight from Sainte Marie to Antananarivo.

Arrive in Antananarivo, check into the hotel, and take some time to get settled.

In the afternoon, visit historical places such as Manjakamiadana Palace and the Andafiavaratra Museum, where you will learn about the history of the Malagasy Kingdom.

After shopping, prepare for your departure to Ivato International Airport.
