Day 01
Terracotta Warriors Museum and Xi'an Ancient City Wall
- Pick up from your hotel lobby between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. On the way to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, stop at a terracotta figurine factory, where you can see how the warriors were made and have the opportunity to purchase some as souvenirs.
- Explore the Terracotta Warriors & Horses Museum, which is famous for its surprisingly high level of sculpture. The original site of the Terracotta Museum was discovered by four local farmers while drilling a well in 1974. It has since become one of the most influential attractions in Xi'an. The museum includes Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2, Pit 3, the bronze chariots, and the horses' exhibition hall.
- After a typical Chinese-style lunch, continue to Xi'an Ancient City Wall, the largest and best-preserved existing city wall in China. It was originally built in the Ming Dynasty for military defence and is now a symbol of Xi'an. You also have the option to ride a bike on top of the wall and enjoy amazing views of the entire city area inside the City Wall.
- After all the activities, head back to your hotel. The tour will end around 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, depending on your travel pace and traffic conditions.
