Cape Town Peninsula Scenic Drive and Penguin Colony

  • Pick up from your hotel or guest house by your Cape Town tour guide for a full city and peninsula tour.
  • Visit Hout Bay Harbour and its market, a base port for rich marine life. It offers some of the finest yellowfin tuna, longfin tuna, and yellowtail fishing in the world, along with a wide variety of aquatic seabirds that appear at different times of the year. The market features artsy handmade items, fresh fish outlets, and craft stores for tourists, where you can buy anything you like.
  • Drive through Clifton & Camps Bay, Chapman's Peak, and Noordhoek on a scenic beach route across the peninsula. You can stop along the way to take photos of the spectacular views.
  • Visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, renowned for being a World Heritage Site. Enjoy taking pictures surrounded by the rich biodiversity of this gorgeous place.
  • Head to Boulders Beach and surround yourself with the vast colonies of African penguins that live in the area. It is believed that this place is home to over 3000 African penguins. As the beach is in Simon's Town, you can also pass by the South African naval base along the way.
  • Next, continue to Muizenberg Drive on the eastern shore and take in the fantastic panoramic views of the ocean.
