Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arusha to Tarangire National Park Game Drive

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 9:00 am.
Drive with a picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive.
Dinner and overnight at Migombani Camp.

Day 02

Maasai Boma Visit and Transfer to Serengeti

Early at 6:00 am, have a cup of coffee and drive to Maasai Boma, where you will experience the rhythm of this nomadic tribe's daily life. Subject to the season, witness the livestock movement early in the morning before meeting the Elders, Moran warriors, women, and children, with full explanations of the status and ranking within the families and their traditions and beliefs.
Drive back to the camp for a full breakfast.
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route with a picnic lunch to Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with your Tanzania tour guide. On the vast Serengeti Plains, home to many animals and birds, search among the trees and kopjes for elusive leopards, cheetahs, and wildebeests.
Dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite.

Day 03

Sunrise Game Viewing and Olduvai Gorge Visit

Early at 5:30 am, have a cup of coffee and proceed for sunrise game viewing.
At 8:00 am, drive back to the lodge for a full breakfast.
After breakfast, go for game viewing en route with a picnic lunch and visit the small but fascinating Dr Leakey Museum at Olduvai Gorge.
Ascend from the plains to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater.

Dinner and overnight at Simba campsite (Crater rim).

Day 04

Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Return to Arusha

Early after breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro.
Descend 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for 6 hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch. Spot the endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, and other wild animals.
At Ngorongoro Crater Soda Lake, you will also see many species of birds, including flamingos. All these animals, in turn, support large predators such as lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals.
Late in the evening, drive back to Arusha.
