Experience the Maasai Mara on a full-day fly-in safari from Nairobi, combining the convenience of return local flights with time on the ground for game viewing in one of Kenya’s most famous wildlife reserves. Travel through the Great Rift Valley at the start of the day, then head into the reserve with a local guide for a shared game drive in a 4x4 vehicle.

Look out for the Big 5 and other wildlife across the Mara plains, enjoy a hot lunch at Ashnil Mara Camp along the banks of the Mara River, and continue your safari with more opportunities for animal sightings and photos. The day also includes a visit to a Maasai Village for a cultural experience before returning to Nairobi.

We will then take a break to have our picnic lunch either at the banks of the river or under a tree overlooking the Mara Plains.

The itinerary

Day 01

Full Day Experience in The Maasai Mara

Early morning at 5:00 am, we will pick you up from your Nairobi Residence / Hotel OR Airport and begin our drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara. We will make a stop-over for Coffee and a bathroom break. Proceed to the reserve’s main gate, where our local guide will pick you up and you will begin a full day of game viewing.

We will then take a break to have our picnic lunch either at the banks of the river or under a tree overlooking the Mara Plains. Afterwards continue with the game drive searching for animals not previously seen as you stop to take photos of the animals. After a beautiful safari, drive out of the reserve and head to the Maasai Village for a Cultural Experience. Depart Maasai Mara and return to Nairobi with a stop-over to shop at the Community Curio Shop. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport, hotel, or your Nairobi residence.
