The itinerary

Day 01

Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park Safari

Meet your Tanzanian safari guide at your hotel, ferry, or airport in Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park. The journey takes about 5-6 hours.
Upon arrival, have lunch at your lodge in the park.
Go on a game drive in the park until sunset.

Dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Camp Bastian/Mikumi Cottages

Day 02

Udzungwa Mountains National Park and Sanje Falls Hike

Have an early breakfast and drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, which is about a 1-hour drive away.
After registration, hike up to Sanje Falls. Bring your swimming costume to take a dip in the pool beneath the waterfall.
Transfer back to Mikumi.

Dinner and overnight.

Day 03

Morning Game Drive in Mikumi and Return to Dar es Salaam

After an early breakfast, go on a game drive in Mikumi National Park. During the drive, you can spot animals such as lions, elands, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, and elephants.
Have lunch at one of the lodges inside the park and then head back to Dar es Salaam.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
