Day 01

Arrival in Baghdad and Welcome Dinner

Baghdad Highlights and National Museum

  • Visit the National Museum of Iraq, which has more than 10,000 artefacts on display, some of which date back to 25000 BC.

  • Then, behold the famous Martyr Monument, dedicated to Iraqi soldiers who died in the 1980s Iraq-Iran war.

Day 03

Great Mosque of Samarra and Malwiya Minaret

  • Head to the Great Mosque of Samarra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to witness the Malwiya Minaret. The minaret is about 52 meters (171 ft) high and 33 meters (108 ft) wide at the base, and the spiral contains steps going up to the top.

Day 04

Arch of Ctesiphon and Ancient Babylon

  • After breakfast, take a drive to visit the Arch of Ctesiphon, the remains of a Sasanian-era Persian monument.

  • Then, head out to explore the ruins of Babylon, including the Hanging Gardens, which are part of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

  • Visit the Saddam Palace, which has been converted into a museum.

  • Have lunch and head out on your way back.
