Day 01

Mount Kyaiktiyo and Golden Rock Pagoda Excursion

• Meet your tour guide at a pre-decided location in Yangon and begin your journey.

• After approximately five hours, you'll arrive in Kinpun, the base camp of Mt. Kyaiktiyo. Take some rest before boarding the open trucks that take you up the mountain to Yathetaung.

• From Yathetaung, you can either take a cable car (10 minutes) to the summit or hike for about 1 hour with your Myanmar tour guide.

• Once atop the 1,100-metre mountain, you'll be at one of Myanmar's top pilgrimage sights. Admire the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, a magnificent gilded stupa perched upon a massive golden rock.

• After enjoying the spectacular panoramic views and the serenity of the Golden Rock, head back to Kinpun and then return to Yangon.

Know before you go

• Pick-up and drop-off from all hotels in central Yangon.

• Tour is free for children aged between 0-2. Child prices apply for those aged between 2-4.
• An additional surcharge will apply if the hotel is outside downtown Yangon, or if pick-up and drop-off are from the airport or bus station. The surcharge will be paid directly to the operator, and the amount will be advised in advance.
• Ladies are required to dress modestly according to Burmese cultural norms to enter the pagoda. Please wear long pants or a long skirt, or bring something to wrap around you.
