Ura Kidane Mehret, Lake Tana and Blue Nile Falls

Visit the 16th-century Ura Kidane Mehret church near Lake Tana. The church's interior is decorated with two-hundred-year-old murals depicting various stories from the modern history of Ethiopia.
Go boating on Lake Tana, the largest lake in Ethiopia. Look out for wetland birds such as the great white pelican, African darter, hamerkop, and African fish eagle. If you are lucky, you may also spot hippopotami near the Blue Nile Outflow.
Drive to the Blue Nile Falls and behold their serene beauty. The falls are estimated to be 37 to 45 metres high and consist of four streams.
