Drive along the Via Maris road to Haifa, the third-largest city in Israel and the country's main port.
Continue to Acre via Nahariya and on to Rosh Hanikra for a short stop and a scenic view of the shared border with Lebanon.
Drive along the southern Lebanon border to Tsfat, the city of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism, to see the artist colony and old synagogues, via the Mount of Beatitudes to Kibbutz En-Gusev.
Ascend to the Golan Heights and proceed towards Shalom Observatory (Peace Observation Point), a former Syrian fortification, for sweeping views of the giant rift of the Jordan River.
Check out the meeting place of the three international borders via Hamat-Gader - Israel, Syria, and the Jordan Kingdom - and continue to Yardenit, the Baptismal Site and the outlet of the Jordan River from the Sea of Galilee.
