Itinerary

1. Day 1: Hanoi - Cat Ba - Lan Ha

   • Meet your guide and depart from your hotel in Hanoi at 7:20 am. The collective bus driver welcomes you to join Dinh Vu at your hotel in the old town between 7:30 and 8:00.
   • Then, take a local ferry from Dinh Vu to Phu Long (about 20 minutes by local ferry). 
   • Reach the city of Cat ba by motorcycle(provided with a driver), where you will find the junk ship. If you do not want to try the bike experience, you can come by bus.
   • 8:00 am. reach Dinh Vu pier after 2 hours drive. At Dinh Vu, you take a local ferry (20 minutes) to the Phu Long pier. After the ferry reaches the city of Cat Ba (located about 30 km), where you find the boat, you will be offered a ride for one hour on a motorcycle with the driver, off the beaten track, or bus if you don't want to try the bike experience and according to your choice of budget. The organization is flexible and will be explained before departure.
   • 12:30, embark on one of the junks (Private or collective depending on your choice of departure: maximum four rooms) with your Vietnam tour guide. The junk first crosses the Hang Vem fishing village in Lan Ha Bay, and sailing is possible depending on the wind.
   • Enjoy this tour to relax, swim and enjoy the sun on deserted beaches. You have the opportunity to go for a kayak route and discover a fishing village. Lunch and dinner are served on board and consist of seafood (fish, shrimp, squid, shellfish), meat and vegetables purchased the same day.

   Spend the night aboard in a creek in the middle of Lan Ha Bay.

2. Day 2: Lan Ha - Hanoi

   • Arrange the visits before releasing the room at 10:30. 
   • For the morning program, you have a choice to envisage the day before with the guide or the crew. The options are a bike ride for 2-hour near the village of Viet Hai or a ballad in the bay on the boat or the beach. Lunch at the local restaurant.
   • Have lunch on board, but this will be confirmed at the time of boarding, depending on the availability of the junk,
   • Return to Hanoi (according to your choice of budget).
     • By local bus: from 12:30 to 13:00. Transfer to Cat ba - Phu Long. Take the local ferry from Phu Long - Dinh Vu (20 minutes by ferry). Continue by local bus to return to Ha Noi or Ninh Binh. Arrive in Ha Noi around 16:30 - 17:00
     • By car: 12:30: Transfer to Cat ba - Phu Long and take a local ferry from Phu Long - Dinh Vu (20 minutes by local ferry). 
   • Drive to return to Hanoi, and you will arrive around 16:30.
