Caucasus Mountains, Ananuri and Kazbegi Day Tour
- Begin the tour between 9:00 and 10:00 AM from the hotel with your Georgia tour guide.
- Visit Jinvali, the largest reservoir in eastern Georgia.
- Continue to the fortress of Ananuri, one of the finest monuments of late feudal Georgia. Unlike other similar structures, the Ananuri complex is perfectly preserved, a feature that creates great interest for both tourists and historians. Since 2012, this fortress has held the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Enjoy an optional lunch break at Pasanauri Restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian Khinkali.
- After lunch, head to Gudauri, a ski resort situated on a south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
- Next, visit the People's Friendship Arch, built at an altitude of 2,384 meters in the Kazbegi district, on the Cross Pass near the Georgian Military Road.
- Visit the Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) Trinity Church in Gergeti, set on the slope of the majestic Kazbek Mountain among snow-covered ranges. It is located at an altitude of 2,170 meters near the town of Stepantsminda and the village of Gergeti.
- Towards the end of your tour, you will have the option to enjoy dinner at a Gudauri restaurant before returning to Tbilisi.
